God and sportsIf Trot Nixon's God did help him swing that bat, who is anyone to say otherwise? I keep hearing about fans helping teams win games, but I don't see anyone complaining about how the drunk in Section 11 didn't really help player X do Z. What's the difference? It's okay to say fans can affect player performance but not God? As far as I know, only one of the two can violate the laws of physics, and it's not the fans. And you definitely don't want God to do this to you. |
