News: NFL Players Association executive director Gene Upshaw sharply criticized the ESPN fictional drama "Playmakers" Tuesday, labeling the show as racist and unrepresentative of pro football players. ESPN defended it's show by stating that they "are not going to respond to an assertion that is not based in reality." I haven't watched a single minute of Playmakers, but the commercials haven't given me any reason to doubt Gene Upshaw. This begs the question, was Gregg's only real mistake that of criticizing the Mouse? |
